Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does it matter what time of year I start improving my grass?

A: No keeping grass in tip top condition is a year round activity.

Q: When will I see a difference?

A: You will see a difference from fertilizer applications within a week of application providing there is adequate soil moisture. The effects of mechanical scarification or aeration will be obvious immediately but the benefits will be realised over the months ahead.

Q: Is it safe for children and pets?

A: Yes - all the products have been tested for safety and will be applied by qualified staff. The general advice is to keep pets and children off areas treated with herbicides until the spray is dry.

Q: Do Great Grass cut the grass?

A: No, but we will give guidance on the best approach to mowing. We value a management partnership with you/your gardener as this will produce the best results.

Q: I already have a gardener do I need Great Grass?

A: We are happy to work with your gardener to deal specifically with the lawn, leaving him/her more time for the other aspects of the garden.

Q: Do I need to water the grass after application?

A: No it is not essential from a grass safety point of view, your grass will not be scorched by the treatments if it does not rain. However, to get the best from these treatments in a dry spell it is worth watering if you can. We can advise you about this and provide equipment.
